Brycen Johnson | 6’0 | Mason HS | Class 2026

This was a clear cut decision for the league Most Valuable Player for the Cincy Midwest Fall League. Brycen impacted winning for his team more than anyone since week 1. Brycen could not be stopped in the championship game as he was scoring at will. The game came down to the wire in a 78-73 victory for Brycen and the undefeated Musketeers. Brycen showed off his ability to get to the paint at will with quick tight handles and next level quickness. This whole fall he was making the right choice time and time again with the ball. Sometimes he would blow by the help and finish at the rim, sometimes he would pull up for a mid range jumper, and sometimes he would put the ball on a string to his teammates for wide open shots. Brycen is going to be a huge piece in the Mason Comets game plan this winter and he showed his ability to take on that role and excel at it this fall.

Midwest Basketball Club Fall League

Midwest Basketball Club puts on one of the best fall leagues in the entire state of Ohio. This fall was a great chance to get eyes on a lot of guys that you would not get to see the majority of the time. While this fall league is not loaded with D1 talent in the gym the games were highly competitive and there was GREAT basketball being played every game. Fall leagues are usually hard to assess because there is usually a limited amount of defense played and a lot of 1 on 1 style of gameplay. This league was the polar opposite of that as teams were communicating, defending, and showing teamwork week in and week out. This was a great opportunity for us to watch and see some of the under the radar and up and coming talent in Southwest Ohio.
