Stock Rising Performers

Treyton Schroeder | 5’9 Class of 2026 | Orange
The division one game didn’t necessarily live up to the hype once thought, but Schroeder came to play. The junior finished with 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists on four threes. Despite being the smallest player on the court, Schroeder did not lack in effort and defensive ability and fits right in, in Olentangy Orange’s championship culture. It felt like everytime he caught the ball behind the arc, it went through the net.

Tony Cornett | 6’4 Class of 2027 | Westerville North
Westerville North’s stifling defensive pressure led them to a fairly easy D2 playoff run. Cornett grew over 6 inches between his freshman and sophomore years and is still adjusting to his new body but was able to put a nice game together in the state championship game. He finished with 10 points, and 3 steals. He’s one of the more intriguing prospects with his upside in the ‘27 class and forms a solid duo between other WN ‘27 Tyson Perkins for the next two years to come.

Tate Aljancic | 6’4 Class of 2025 | Louisville
Louisville had an incredible run and pulled out two one posesion games in the final four and state championship games. Aljancic was the player who stepped up big against Aiken. He was able to find open threes, crash the glass, and get his teammates the ball. The Leopards are team who has too many weapons to beat you and are deadly moving the ball. Aljancic shot 5-6 from the field, including 2-2 from behind the arc totaling 17 points. The senior will head to D2 Malone and play basketball AND baseball.

Cooper Howell | 5’10 Class of 2027 | Monroe Central
Seniors Chance Allen and Tucker Howell came In as leading scorers for the Seminoles who were looking for their first ever state title but it was the younger Howell who had one of his best games of the season. The guard finished with 10 points and 6 boards and put his name on the map for the next couple of years. The moment was not too big for him.

Ty Harrison | 5’9 Class of 2027 | Lutheran East
Like Westerville North, Lutheran East has a couple of guards who will pickup full court. It’s hard for teams to even cross half court with guys like Harrison on them. Harrison is a smaller guard but is one of the better defenders in the entire state. The sophomore finished with 10 points and an insane 5 steals en route to “The Lue’s” third straight state championship. He’ll be on colleges’ radars soon enough.
